is a professional free diver and adventurer with the ability to free dive to a depth below 90m on a single breath of air. She became third deepest woman in the world when she was 20 years old, just 8m short of the world record. Katarina is setting a new perspective of what we humans are capable of, as for her freediving is not just a sport. It is also the art of living passionate life to the fullest by submersing herself in sport and unique cultural experiences. Katarina is exploring the most magnificant places on Earth whilst attending international competitions and conferences.
Katarina Linczenyiova was born in Bratislava, capital city of Slovak Republic, on the 4th of January 1993. Today she lives the life of an athlete and adventurer. Her main focus lies in deep free diving disciplines, her studies of mental control training, and in exploring the world‘s nature and cultural heritage. She faced hard times when she almost became immobile due to an autoimmune disease at the age of seventeen. Katarina was absolutely dependent on strong addictive medication, and was preparing to live the rest of her life in a wheelchair. During these dark times she discovered free diving, which gave incredible healing and inspiration – so much so it healed her completely and she could begin to live her life to the fullest. Katarina is a passionate explorer and coach, training free diving and spearfishing techniques around the globe. Apart from competition free diving, she also works as a public speaker, writer and underwater model. Extremely deep dives and freediving in harsh climates and conditions such as ice lakes inspires her in her work. She effectively coaches people around the world at her courses and camps, and during her motivational speeches can connect with each client on a personal level, to help them discover their own inner power and self belief, in order take control of their life and create their own happiness. She starred as one of the main characters of the movie ‘To The Bottom’ which will premiere in 2017. The film is defined by her beliefs in the preservation of the ocean environment and sustainable development. Katarina has also been interviewed by some of the largest newspaper companies in Slovakia (SME 2014, FORBES 2014).
