has nearly 20 years of extensive business experience in both tactical and strategic management. He currently works as President at General Electric CR & SK driving long-term prosperity and growth of GE in the region, and also holds a position of the Program Country Director at GE Aviation in the Czech Republic building a new GE Turboprop business in the Czech Republic: Turboprop headquarter, R&D Center and a production site for a brand new GE Catalyst engine. He provides a liaison to the Government and to GE business partners supporting & executing the Catalyst program locally. Mr. Slapak also holds the post of Vice-President at Aviation Confederation of the Czech Aviation Industry. Slapak began his career with GE in 1999 with GE Transportation, later transitioning to GE Healthcare, then to General Electric’s corporate division as Country Manager for the Eastern European and Nordic regions. Since summer 2009 he has been with GE Aviation. During his career at GE he completed various international assignmens including US, Italy,China and France. Mr. Slapak holds advanced degrees from the Czech Technical University in Prague – a master’s degree in Operations & Management and a PhD degree in E-Business in Strategic Management.
